Jeongdong1946, a premium Korean beef restaurant located near Seoul City Hall Station in Jung-gu, Seoul, has introduced a new payment option allowing customers to pay using major digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether.
Situated in the historic Jeongdong area, which was designated as Seoul’s first “Walking Street” in 1999, Jeongdong1946 is well-known for its unique dining experience. The restaurant offers exclusive beverage selections, including Balvenie highballs, and premium menu items such as the 2++ No.9 Hanwoo Jeongdong Set and Hanwoo T-bone steak. Over the years, it has been a trendsetter with innovative promotions and creative concepts.
The new payment system is facilitated through the KONPAY application. Customers can simply select their preferred digital asset in the KONPAY app and present a barcode to the staff to complete the transaction seamlessly.
The introduction of this payment option aligns with the growing global interest in digital assets, particularly following Bitcoin’s recent surge past the $100,000 mark. Jeongdong1946 aims to embrace this global trend and offer its customers a modern and convenient payment experience.
KONPAY is a digital wallet platform supporting multi-digital asset payment services. It currently enables barcode payments with leading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDT).
