Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism visits South Korea. The South Korea-Vietnam Digital Economy and Cultural Tourism Industry Innovation Meeting concludes successfully

The conference on digital economic innovation and cultural tourism cooperation between South Korea and Vietnam was successfully held in Seoul on the 17th. The event was organized by Kondor & KondorTech and saw the participation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, Representative of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea (KVNAT).


At this event, the Vietnamese delegation included the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea, the Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, and the Representative of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea (KVNAT). On the South Korean side, participants included Kondor, a financial technology company, GLN International, a global financial group operating the convenient global payment platform 'GLN', WKBK, a leading Hanoi-Vietnam WEB3.0 marketing company, and TradeTrek, a company providing distribution and content creation services, as well as MCN services.

This was the second conference, following the meeting of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam at the KVNAT office last year. After discussions and initial planning at the previous conference, it's evident that the cooperation between the two countries has made significant progress and achieved practical accomplishments, especially in the development and establishment of the 'Tourism Pay' platform. These advancements reflect the dedication to realizing the digital economy and tourism industry renewal goals between South Korea and Vietnam.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, Mr. Doan Van Viet, emphasized the necessity of innovation through digital technology. He stated, "The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered the global tourism landscape. Vietnam is no exception, but we are trying to leverage this challenging situation as an opportunity to seek creative solutions." He also agreed with the positive proposals and requests for collaboration from Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung (Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea) and Tourism Ambassador Ly Xuong Can (KVNAT). These include the development of the "Tourism Pay" project and the need to open opportunities for exchanging information and ideas at conferences like this conference.


Tourism Ambassador Ly Xuong Can emphasized that in the modern digital age, the tourism sector is transitioning into the era of Digital Tourism. He highly appreciates the potential of FinTech in providing integrated digital travel information services through the "Tourism pay" project, which offers convenience, cost-effectiveness, and stability in a cashless society. He also commended the spirit of active collaboration in implementing this project.


Director Cha Se-young of KONDOR and Director Kim Kyung-ho of GLN International, a subsidiary of Hana Financial Group, are collaborating to develop a new electronic payment platform named "Tourism Pay" and have prepared to implement this payment system. It is expected to provide a more convenient travel experience for both South Korean and Vietnamese tourists through mobile payments using QR codes and barcodes, eliminating the need for cash exchange. This cooperation, along with the integration of technology, is poised to drive the development of the digital economy and cultural exchange between the two countries, marking a significant milestone for the future of the tourism industry.

Ms. Lee Yu-jin, the Director of the South Korean leading WEB3.0 mainstream marketing company - WKBK, and Mr. Han Sung-ho, a company providing distribution services, content creation, and MCN services, showcased their commitment to crafting digital marketing strategies and exploring ways to harness the power of social media and various online platforms to foster greater synergy between the tourism and cultural domains of both nations during the meeting.

During the conference, the parties discussed technological advancements achieved through collaboration and shared numerous ideas and plans regarding future directions and strategies for revolutionizing the tourism industry. Kondor Corporation led in establishing the △ " Consortium for Tourism Payment" and △ seeking international partners. A representative from the company stated, "Any inquiries or contributions to the exchange project between South Korea and Vietnam can be addressed through the official website."
