Chairman Cha Se Yung of KONDOR Group Mourns Vietnamese Secretary General Nguyễn Phú Trọng:
“Will Strive for Further Bilateral Development”
Nguyễn Phú Trọng, the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who passed away on the 19th, was laid to rest at Mai Dịch Cemetery in Hanoi, where past Vietnamese leaders are buried.
In Korea, a memorial altar was set up at the Vietnamese Embassy. Cha Se Yung, Chairman of KONDOR Group, visited the altar to pay his respects, accompanied by Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in Korea Lý Xương Căn and Yu Jin Lee, CEO of affiliated company WKBK.
Nguyễn Phú Trọng, the highest-ranking official in Vietnam, held various key positions including Politburo member, Secretary General of the Communist Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Military Commission, and Head of the Anti-Corruption Steering Committee. He was renowned for his 'Bamboo Diplomacy' strategy and his 'Blazing Furnace' anti-corruption campaign.
During his 14 years in power as the longest-serving Secretary General, he cultivated relationships with major business leaders and played a pivotal role in promoting Korea-Vietnam cooperation.
Earlier in July, KONDOR Group met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính during his visit to Korea. The group has been working on diversifying its business in Vietnam, a key market in Asia, by continually communicating with prominent Vietnamese figures and reviewing local business strategies for the recently elevated national project, Tourism Pay.
Chairman Cha Se Yung expressed his condolences in the guestbook, writing, "My deepest condolences. We will continue to strive for the development of both countries," conveying heartfelt sympathy to the Vietnamese people.
This act of condolence underscores the close cooperative relationship between the two countries and reflects the deep trust and friendship Korean companies hold towards Vietnam.
